Talented writer/director Katherine Brooks brings us this daring new feature that deals with the complexity of love and the struggle to contain our deepest desires. New student Annabelle, the defiant daughter of a busy senator, arrives at a prestigious girls catholic boarding school after being thrown out of all her previous ones. Annabelle (newcomer Erin Kelly) is obviously hungry for love and attention, and sets her sights on the school’s poetry teacher, simone, an older woman who is trying to suppress her own lesbian past. On a holiday weekend, the teacher and student find themselves alone on the campus, and in one moment their relationship changes. They discover undeniable passion, while at the same time experiencing the reality of responsibility that guilt unveils. Talented writer/director Katherine brooks brilliantly captures the conflicting emotions of erotic, romantic attraction and the apprehension due to the sexual and spiritual risks involved.
